Good bye and Good Luck

I am the official cardmaker for my place of work. When someone gets married, has a baby or leaves it is up to me to design the card.
I get great pleasure thinking about what will suit them. It was sad to make this card as the person that was leaving will be sadly missed. But it was really nice to know that it was appreciated.
The trees were made with Memory Box dies and are very delicate and I would love it if they were just a bit bigger.

My Daughters Birthday Card

This is a card I made for my daughter using the beautiful Memory Box dies. These dies cut so incredibly finely and are really beautiful

I'm Totally In Love

Well this week the new love of my life arrived in the post. My new Silhouette Cameo.
This cutting machine is absolutely fantastic and I have spent this week starting to learn how to use it.
The way this machine works is by designing on your computer or by buying images from the Silhouette store. I really like this idea as I have previously bought carts for my cricut and only used a few of the images. With Silhouette you only purchase the images that you want.
I was lucky enough to purchase a subscription to the Silhouette store at a discount. For $16 a month I can download $150 worth of images with the images being only 99c each this is really great value. They also have sales so that you can purchase each month sale images for 50c. There is also a free image a month.
The machine also prints and cuts and you can use any font that is on your compter or images from the internet. Not really sure how to go about this yet that might have to be my next lesson.
Thank god for youtube as I have been watching so many clips getting lessons on how to best use my new best friend.
Did I tell you it cuts like a dream, really intricate cuts. So much better than the cricut.
Here is the first card that I made on Camilla (Cameo) I totally designed the image myself but did get the idea from a card that I had seen on the internet.
