Flourishes Magnolia Stamps

I just love Flourishes stamps. They stamp so clearly and are wonderful to colour in with Copics.

Anniversary

I made this card for my husband for our anniversary. It is made using the Silhouette Cameo. All of the cutting files are from the Silhouette studio. I am really pleased with the outcome and my husband thought it was one of the best cards that I have made.

Good bye and Good Luck

I am the official cardmaker for my place of work. When someone gets married, has a baby or leaves it is up to me to design the card.
I get great pleasure thinking about what will suit them. It was sad to make this card as the person that was leaving will be sadly missed. But it was really nice to know that it was appreciated.
The trees were made with Memory Box dies and are very delicate and I would love it if they were just a bit bigger.

My Daughters Birthday Card

This is a card I made for my daughter using the beautiful Memory Box dies. These dies cut so incredibly finely and are really beautiful

I'm Totally In Love

Well this week the new love of my life arrived in the post. My new Silhouette Cameo.
This cutting machine is absolutely fantastic and I have spent this week starting to learn how to use it.
The way this machine works is by designing on your computer or by buying images from the Silhouette store. I really like this idea as I have previously bought carts for my cricut and only used a few of the images. With Silhouette you only purchase the images that you want.
I was lucky enough to purchase a subscription to the Silhouette store at a discount. For $16 a month I can download $150 worth of images with the images being only 99c each this is really great value. They also have sales so that you can purchase each month sale images for 50c. There is also a free image a month.
The machine also prints and cuts and you can use any font that is on your compter or images from the internet. Not really sure how to go about this yet that might have to be my next lesson.
Thank god for youtube as I have been watching so many clips getting lessons on how to best use my new best friend.
Did I tell you it cuts like a dream, really intricate cuts. So much better than the cricut.
Here is the first card that I made on Camilla (Cameo) I totally designed the image myself but did get the idea from a card that I had seen on the internet.

Small Cards

I decided that I would try to make smaller cards from my Nestabilities. I had seen some that were lovely on the internet and thought I would give them a try. I cut a folded piece of cardstock and put the top edge of the Nestie just over the folded piece of cardstock. When cut out the back and front are the same shape.
These cards are really small and would be lovely as a gift card.
Hope you like them
Pam

The first card is using Fleur de Lis and the second card using a square scallop

Girlfriends Forever

A couple of months ago I went to a scrapbooking retreat in beautiful Daylesford, Victoria. Of course retreats are great fun and we have lots of laughs. The great thing about this retreat is that the same  bunch of ladies come each time. We bring all of our scrapbooking and cardmaking things with us and then share each others. It takes ages to make sure that all of our items are named, and then even longer to pack the car. I take so much that I need to go alone in the car as nobody else would fit in. It is great to share as you soon realise that something that you thought you wanted maybe isn't that great or that you just have to have that wonderful stamp. On the last day we just stamp, stamp, stamp so that you end up taking home lots of fantastic images to work on when you have time.
Below is a card I made using a new Cricut cartridge that I had just bought called Fun in the Sun. I bought this cartridge purely because it has a wakeboarding image on it and my husband and I both wakeboard. I am so glad that I bought it as it has some fantastic images. This group of ladies was one of the fun images that look so good when the layers are put together. Hope you like it too.

Queens Birthday Long Weekend

It's lovely to have a long weekend end this weekend. Even though it is wet and cold.
I have had time to sit down and make some cards. I really hope that the photos come out okay as my camera has died and I am using my husbands, which I have a feeling isn't as good.
I have had a great time this weekend adding to my boards on Pinterest and love that I am able to save so many beautiful things on one space.
I have also made some Christmas cards and just love the Just rite stamps they always come out crisp and clear and are beautiful for colouring in.
Hope you enjoy.
I made this Tilda card some time ago and haven't had a chance to give it to someone yet. It does have a key under the rose so would be lovely for a 21st.

Say Cheescake !!! This is a stamp by Art Impressions and is a really fun one. I used Distress crackle around the edges and cut one of the ladies out and put some dimensionals behind her so that she stood out.

This is my start to Christmas one down many to go. Just Rite stamp coloured with Copic markers.

All great plans

I had almost forgotten that I had a blog, well not quite, but it has been some time since I have posted and I am sure the type of cards I make now has differed from what I have previously posted.
I am now hooked on Pinterest and decided that I wanted to post some of my cards on my boards. So all set up with the camera and light box, only to find out that the batteries for the camera were flat. Well maybe tomorrow as it is absolutely terrible weather here in Melbourne tonight with lots of wind and rain and I am not venturing out.
I might just sit down at my desk and start creating.
